Daclafab is a licensed generic drug. It is manufactured by major pharmaceutical brands such as Natco Pharma (India).
It is manufactured by numerous leading pharmaceutical companies, including Natco Pharma (India), accordingly, the price of Daclatasvir may vary.
Description
Daclafab is an inhibitor of the viral (hepatitis C virus) protein NS5A, which is used in the replication of hepatitis C virus within the liver cells (hepatocytes). Hence, usage of Daclafab is known to inhibit the hepatitis virus from entering into the blood stream of a patient.
Used as a highly specific and direct action drug for the treatment of hepatitis C virus, Daclafab is not known to have any activity against RNA and DNA containing viruses.
Daclafab (Daclatasvir) is an inhibitor of the non-structural protein 5A (NS5A), a multifunctional protein required for HCV replication, and thus suppresses two stages of the life cycle of the virus-viral RNA replication and virion assembly.
Based on numerous studies and medical research, it has been proven that Daclatasvir interferes and acts against the function of NS5A protein, which can lead to structural distortions.
